Longer work and Activity
Some requests take more than a quick reply: comparing products, researching a topic, writing a report, or making a file. A Spark handles these as longer work and keeps you informed while it runs.
Following the work
While longer work runs, the header of the Space shows working on it (or waiting for you if it needs an answer). Tap it (Show the work) to open the run.
A run page shows:
- the plan, step by step (or "No written plan");
- the sources: pages visited, web searches, what it read from connected apps, and files it put into your Space;
- receipts for any app actions you approved;
- any question waiting for you;
- the live browser, with Jump in and Pause and open browser, if it is browsing.
Controlling the work

| Stop | Stops the work for good. |
| Try again | Runs a failed piece of work again. |
The Activity list
Profile → Activity ("Work you handed to a Spark") lists every run, newest first, with its status: Working, Needs you, Done, Failed, Paused or Stopped. Finished runs also appear under recent in Pulse.
Files and calculations
A Spark can publish finished files, such as a comparison table or a report, straight into your Space.
For number crunching or file work, it can use a private code sandbox, but only for that task. The sandbox has no internet access and each run stops after five minutes.
The code sandbox is not switched on for every account. If a Spark cannot use it, it says so and does the work another way.
